Stamper's Border Collies

A companion, a pal, a very best friend, someone to trust and love 'til the end.

2/17/10; 14 weeks old.  Kayla and Shep female born Nov. 10, 2009

Just wanted to share some pictures of Selene to show you how much she's grown already. She absolutely loves the snow and loves playing with frisbees as you can see in the pictures. We're excited to start her "puppy kindergarden" class this Friday. She already knows: sit, down, wait, spin, over (roll-over), spin, touch (targets with nose), and speak. She's been amazing showing off her tricks so far; hopefully she'll do great in front of all the other puppies and owners. We just love her to death!

Hi, Janelle...i kept meaning to update you and send some pictures of Keenan, now that he is almost 1 years old, the day after Christmas! I have a ton of pics of him, he likes to get it taken,it seems. I sent one of him and Reagan, when he was younger, and 2 of present time so you can see how he has grown. We LOVE him so much! he has been the best dog...loves attention, other dogs and all people! I can squeeze and hug him and he doesn't mind! He is a wonderful dog, and we are so glad we got him...he is spoiled for sure! Well, have a Merry Christmas, and I will try and send more pics from time to time! --- Kely Cottrell

I wanted to send you a couple pics and let you know that we are thinking of you at Stamper Farms. Georgie is all grown up and a happy, active and exceptionally intelligent border. Her favorite activity is frisbee. She knows when it is time to go play and will stand there tossing the frisbee at us until we go out and play. Georgie also likes to play find the snack under the cups, and enjoys tricking her best friend Brody out of his bones and toys. Georgie leaps up on the bed first thing in the morning to get her tummy scratched and tell us to get up. And she watches her "herd" by sitting at the front window and making sure all the bears and wolves that might be hiding in the trucks driving past, move safely on. She also keeps her yard safe from all rabbits, squirrels and birds. At bed time she tucks us in then resumes her night watch on her corner of the couch where she can see out the window. We love her with all our hearts. Thank you for bringing us this joy. Sincerely, Andria and Phil Karshner

Hi Janelle, This is Nell doing agility a few weeks ago. She loves it, just look at her face and tail. They tell it all. I will send you a picture of her doing herding. Rose

Janelle, I hope all is well with you and your family. We recently went to the annual Midwest Border Collie Rescue event in Naperville, IL. We thought the girls would love a day filled with Border Collie activities. Here are some pictures I thought you would enjoy.

I hope you remember us! The Luzius family. We adopted Tommy nearly three years ago this winter. And wow how awesome those three years have been! Tommy has become an indespensible member of our family. He is so wonderful and everyone he meets instantly falls in love with his sweet face, impecable manners and of course that silky soft thick coat that borders are so known for. Every weekend we like to go on our "mini - vacations" we go camping, hiking, canoeing, and so much more and of couse we couldn't go without Tommy! I don't think he'd allow it. We were hoping to get Tommy a companion. We've looked at other border collie pups, but none that we believe even come close to the care and breeding your borders possess. If you wouldn't mind contacting us when your next litter is born we would love to hear from you. I also included a picture of Tommy at a waterfall we found while hiking. He jumped off the top of the waterfall (scared me, but he was fearless) and then attempted to eat it! You can see why we love him!!! Look forward to hearing from you. Cris Luzius

Tell Kayla and Cap hello from their daughter Miss Maggie. She is doing well and we're all as happy as can be. She loves to run on the farm and watch her garden, chase the bunnies and birds and play with her soccer ball and frisbe. Hope all is well at your home. Best Regards! Sharon Myers

Hi Janelle! I hope all is well with you and your family. We’ve been thinking about you but we have been so busy that I let time get away from me. I wanted to send you some pictures of Grace and Kylie. Kylie is doing very well. She is such a happy puppy. We absolutely adore her. Her personality is so different from Grace’s that we laugh daily. We call Kylie our little bruiser. You weren’t kidding when you told us she was a bit of a whiner. She has a sound for everything. It is so funny. She grunts and makes noise for just about everything. She also has to dig and move everything around before she can lay down. She does not have her sister’s love for Frisbee – she just looks at Grace and wonders why she never tires of chasing it. Kylie is content to just watch.

Hey Janelle, Just wanted to let you know how great Skye and Levi are getting along. They have both been real busy catching frisbee's, swimming, and roughousing. Skye has been a great teacher and Levi is turning out to be just like his big sister. I attached some pictures from are most recent trip to florida. Ill try and keep you updated on how they are doing. Sincerely, Kevin

Dear Janelle, Geogie is doing great! She went with us to California and got to chase seagulls on the beach, rabbits in New Mexico and wild turkeys in Colorado. We took sheep herding classes this spring. It was a blast. Georgie was a natural. It isn't really a sport that I will be pursuing but it was a lot of fun. She acted like she had herded sheep since the day she was born. She and I are going to take a Dog dancing class in Aug. How fun will that be? Hope all is well. We thank God for our little Georgie every day. Love Andria and Georgie Girl.

Hi Janelle, I apologize for taking so long to get back to you. I got the ABCA papers in the mail. Steve has been awesome to say the least. He's a hit everywhere I take him. He is absolutely fearless, which I love about him. When we go on walks there seems to always be that one big mean looking German Shepherd or similiar dog that gives him a little growl, and he goes right up to them and licks them right in the face. Its the funniest thing I've ever seen. He does it to my parents Golden also. Its hilarious because the look on dogs faces when he does that just makes you laugh. I havent come across anything yet that scares him, which I think is unique because usually dogs have at least one thing that freaks them out. Training has been really easy. He honestly learns new tricks in one day. Unbelieavable. On walks I like to take him off his leash because he really doesnt need it, but I try to be considerate to the park rules....when he gets further than 20-30' from me I yell to him "stay close" and he comes right back and licks my hand. To me thats him saying "you can trust me" .... to me thats also unbelievable. I saw that you had 2 new litters, they look awesome. I'm gonna see where I'm at in a year or two and possibly consider getting another puppy from you. I'm attaching some recent pictures of Steve. Talk to you later, Tim

Jersey Girl   Dec. 28, 2008

Janelle, Happy Holidays!! I see that you have more puppies coming!! Congratulations. We are all doing well. Our Jersey Girl is awesome!!! We are having so much fun with her. She is so smart!! :) I just finished up a puppy class with her and I am going to be starting a basic obedience class in the next couple of weeks. I eventually want to get into agility with her. She does really well. She has her hyper moments, but is very laid back for the most part. She loves to harrass her sister and brother( lab and boxer) her and our boxer are definately buddies, they run and play together every day. She actually did well with the Christmas tree (which I was surprised) We hope that you and your family had a wonderful holiday. I just wanted to email you and let you know how well she is doing. Take care and enjoy the pics. Christy

DECEMBER 10. 2008

Hello from Andria and Georgie and the Gang in Seymour, Indiana! Today Georgie is one year old! I wanted to send you our best wishes. It is a cold wet day so we are all stuck indoors. I wanted to send you a couple pictures to see what a beauty my girl has become. Georgie is big! 55lbs. She still leaps into my lap like she weighs much less. She is so very smart and sweet. We go to agility class once a week. And she is very patient with me when we learn new handling skills. Now that she is one, we will start jumping and weaving skills. Georgie did finally come into heat. I am thinking of having her fixed but Phil still wants to get one litter first. Keeping her close for an entire month was a bit of a strain, also I had to borrow a dog to go to agility classes; so who will win this debate is still being discovered. Georgie is what Caesar Milan would call calm submissive. Everyone wants her to play with their pups to socialized them. Thank you so much for bringing my Georgie into the world. She is our little love. Sincerely, Andria

Nell is a pistol and we are enjoying her. She loves sheep and seems to like agility. She is a comedian. Very loving dog with lots of personality. She is always telling Lou what to do. She actually talks out loud and it sounds like she is growling, but she is talking. Tagg(blue boy, her uncle) and her get along great. In this picture she is just over a year old. Thanks for a great dog! Rose Sorn

Hi Janelle, Just wanted to check in..... Grace is now 10 weeks old so I have a lot to tell you. She had her first visit to the vet last week. She did really well except she did not really want to be there. No different than the kids at the doctor :-). She had her shot right on schedule and you will be happy to hear how the vet praised her health and condition. He said she was in great shape! She is learning more every day. We just adore her. She is the most loving, sweet dog and she means the world to all of us. She knows how to sit, lay down and be gentle. We still struggle with the cat but I can tell they are really becoming friends. I find them together all the time. Kenny still takes Grace to the dog park everyday and she now has many friends to play with there. As soon as she is old enough she will go to doggie day care where they will make sure she is socialized with other dogs and we will start agility training. She has to be a bit older before they will take her so we spend every moment we can working with her at home. . She is just a doll. We have been talking about the possibility of getting her a playmate next year...... so we will see. Take care and keep in touch.

Nov. 4, 2008

Maggie Mae had her vet check last week and is in great shape. My niece is a vet tech in the office so she got special care :) He commented about how well-behaved she is! She has a microchip now and is 17#. She knows her name, 'mommy', 'daddy', 'shake right', 'shake left', 'high 5', 'lay', 'come', 'house', 'wait' (she will watch the treat until I tap it and say 'okay' and then get it!). Toys she knows: duck, red ball, yellow ball, paper, rabbit and squeaky bone. Also, believe it or not, I think she knows 'smile'!!!! She is our joy! Hope all is well with you and all your special kids! Best regards, Sharon

Hello, We were at your place last weekend and picked up Female #4 from Kayla's litter. She is doing great! Our bullmastiff female, Shirley, loves her to death too! They sleep together and play in the yard. It is funny to watch a 125lb. bullmastiff play with a Border collie pup! We have finally decided on her name. We call her "Charlee."  Our old Border collie was named Charlie, so we decided to name her after him but spell it differently. Our kids love her and we are so happy to have her. Thank you taking the time to allow us to interact with the puppies, you were very patient and gave us all the time we needed to pick the puppy we wanted. We picked the perfect one--Charlee is so sweet...and smart! Thank you!

October 27, 2008

Dear Janelle, I was just checking out the website. It is so beautiful! Good JOB! I was proud to see our Georgie featured in the photos. I will be checking back to see the new pups! I wanted to catch you up on Georgie's progress. She and I took a tracking course this month. Georgie did very well. All I need to do is drag a tennis ball behind me and place it in a sock and she could find it in a snow storm. Tennis balls and Frisbees are her new obsession. She would play with them 24/7 if it were up to her. (I think she reads minds because she just dragged a Frisbee in through the dog door and keeps shoving it at me!) Ha She and I have been taking agility at Pawsitivenergy Agility for the last 8 weeks. She loves it! Of course SHE progresses much faster than I do! She gives me this pity look when I trip over her like, "ah come on...right cross, not rear cross...focus! " We will have class until it gets too cold, then continue in the early spring. I hope to start some novice activities then with her. She and I also are working on dance. Yep! She is the only one brave enough to do it! HA We are just beginning but she seems to enjoy the play of it. I thought it may be a nice training activity for winter since we can do it in smaller spaces. Of course the neighbors have long since decided that I have lost my mind so oh well! But she loves it and it is good exercise for me. Thank you. Andria

Janelle, Things are going great with our new addition! She slept well last night and the kids are loving her! She is definitely getting her exercise! We named her Carmen! Thank you for all of your help! The DeProfio Family

Oct. 25, 2008

Hi Janelle,  Grace is doing very well. She is learning more everyday. Her personality really came out once we got her home :-). She can be quite the stinker when she wants to be but she is such a loving, warm, sweet dog that all we can do is giggle at her. I can tell you she torments our cat, loves music, loves to wake the children in the morning and most of all, loves getting into everything. It took her only two times to master our stairs -- and I think there are 14 of them! Luckly for her they turn a bit so if she gets going to fast on the way down there are a couple of chances for her to catch herself and slow down. My Mom comes to see her and spend a couple of hours with her everyday. She keeps threatening to take her home with her but we can't let that happen. She is already such a part of our family I can't imagine life without her. She goes for long walks with Kenny everyday and is doing very well on a leash -- when she is not trying to walk herself! The kids run with her constantly and she is so tired at bed time she just collapses. Naturally, since she is still such a baby she sleeps between Kenny and myself. She is perfect at night and loves to snuggle up. Once she gets big enough to jump off the bed we will talk to her about other sleeping arrangements. The kids are already begging to have her sleep in their rooms but Katie already has a gerbil and Brent has a leopard gecko. Grace went to the pet store for the first time today. We take her everywhere --even if it is just to pick up the kids. She loved interacting with people and other dogs so it will likely be a regular Saturday event for her. Obviously I could go on and on about her...... and I am taking advantage of evey moment when she naps. So I need to go tidy up. Take Care -- Diane

Oct. 23, 2008

Hi Janelle, How are you and all the furry little ones doing? Miss Maggie is thriving. She is just a little angel, with an ornery streak of course. To date she has had only 2 potty accidents inside, both MY not being diligent. I have her brass bells by the back door and she rang them once already, but think she will get in this habit soon as I ring them each time I take her out and tell her 'potty'. She already can 'sit pretty' (from day 1), shakes 'left' (right will be next), lays, and does 'high 5'!!! She brings back the ball or her squeaky bone for treats, too. She gets into play mode and will have running streaks thru the house and just smiles and smiles! Loves to steal my shoes or socks when I leave them out and discovered yesterday that she can run up the stairs and back down for fun! (I put a gate up at the bottom today just until potty training is complete) It is funny to me, tho, as my Casey would love to go up a set of stairs, but refused to come down on her own! Anyway, she is running the show, all settled in and just a doll. We have her a little spoiled with a bin of many toys and she will just tip it over each morning and dig in all day. Casey learned the name of all her toys and each eve (for treats) would bring me each one and put it in the bin until they were all picked up. She knew about 20 names like 'rabbit', 'sheep', 'rope', 'red ball', 'yellow ball', etc! They are just so smart and Maggie is proving to be an exceptional learner already! I'm so thrilled that I am able to be home and spend so much time with teaching her things. We'll keep you posted. Take the best of care! Sharon

Hi Janelle, Apollo is doing great. Three kids have worn him out, already! He had a great trip back, slept the whole way. The cats don’t seem to care he’s here, and he hasn’t really paid any attention to them, either. He’s curious about the lab, but she’s not particularly interested. He’s already figuring his way around the yard and house. Megan is on cloud nine, and we all feel very blessed to have found your puppy family. Thank you! Kathy

Janelle, Remember the puppy we got last year and we named him Sam. We got him for are youngest daughter for her birthday. Well he is doing fine and they adore each other. Sam is very protective of her.  We tease her that we are going to give him back, and she tells us that Sam is hers, and she will never give him back. He allows her to lay on his paws and never moves. He allows her to do anything with him. Thanks for a great dog for our daughter. The Debays

Hey Janelle, We are doing great!!! Our little girl has found her energy!!! :) Our boys love her. She has done great at night in her crate, I was surprised that even the first night she didn't cry at all!!! She has been waking me up once at night to go out, and that is it. As far as potty training goes...she's doing good with that also, she has had maybe 2 accidents so I'm happy!! The other night I was taking her out and we were on the deck heading down to the grass and I told her to go potty...well she did, right on the deck!!! She was doing what she was told :) I will keep you updated with her and new pics!! I guess you need to know her name.. it's Gigi's Jersey Girl. Thanks! Christy

Wonderful Experience

Stampers Border Collies were wonderful before, during, and after we purchased our puppie. They let my children take all the time they needed (a lot) to pick out a puppie. They gave us lots of good information and tips, along with a sample of the proper food for our puppie. It was worth the 4 hour drive to buy a puppie from Stampers. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good puppie and a great experience. Tim, September 22, 2008

Hi Janelle How are you? Yes she is 6 months now and she is doing fantastic! Of coarse I would love to send you some pictures of Bella. Actually I vist the web site every now and again, and I love to look at all the pictures. Hmm, I would have to say that her favorite thing to do, is play frizbe out in the back yard. Bella makes me play for hours before she will even go inside. She can run so fast and jump about over my head! I have to say that Bella has the most energy I have ever seen a dog have. I love it though because she can always keep up with me and half the time beat me! Also she has one of the best personalities ive ever seen with a dog. She is so loving and caring! For example every night when I say its time for bed, she runs down stairs to my room and flops up on the bed. When I get down there she moves enough just for me to lay down and right as I do she lays her whole head and neck on my neck. Its the cutest thing! I love her so much, I honestly can say that she is just like one of my best friends! I will send you some pictures from a couple months ago showing how much she loves to cuddle. :) Talk to you soon! Judy

June 25, 2008

Hi Janelle, Ace is doing great, he is such a loveable dog! Last night I was sitting on the couch and he just curled up on my lap to snuggle. We actually had him fixed a few weeks ago and he did really well with that. He will play with the Frisbee but he is crazy about tennis balls (probably because his big sister is too)! He is very trusting of us, but is still a little protective towards others. He seems to be a quick learner. You really do have excellent dogs!!!! I will send pictures soon! Take care, Brianna

June 19, 2008

Yes, Georgie is my sweetheart. She is at my chair playing with a squeaky ball. She LOVES to squeak. Usually about 4am. Ha. I try to take pictures of her but they are almost always blurry as she never stops moving. She is quite the busy little dog. Georgie is really just beginning to be mature enough to GET all the lessons she learned at classes. She heels just beautifully, but only on the leash. She can not be trusted out front with out a leash. We have lots of dog owners who walk past our house and she will shoot out to see them if she is unleashed. for even a minute. I just could not bear to loose her. She seems to have a very strong herding instinct, unfortunately the only sheep she can boss around is our 10 year old Boston terrier who doesn't appreciate it in the least. In the morning when Georgie and Brody wake up, Georgie comes into our room and pesters Roxy until she gets up and goes outside with them.  Georgie will not relent until her one and only sheep is herded outside with the pack to go potty. Then herded back in to entertain her. She also herds the two dogs on the other side of the fence as they come and go in the yard. Even though a fence divides them, she does it entirely with her eyes and running back an forth. I wish we had a sheep ranch, she would be amazing. I will send you a picture of her when I took her to a place that had goats. She was not allowed to chase them but the eyes they gave each other was hysterical. Georgie and Brody are the best of friends. They play and play constantly. When Georgie hears a noise outside she barks at Brody to go see what it is, then she waits by the dog door for him while he investigates.  She is very, very smart, and she is also so eager to please and so very loving and loyal. Our favorite moment of the day is when she leaps up in the bed and wakes us with her exuberant doggy kisses and rub my tummy demands. Her most favorite activity is chasing water from the hose or from the sprinklers. She loves it. If I can't walk her, I just water the flowers and she gets her exercise for the evening, as well as a bath. I need to video tape her doing it she is just hysterical. Thank you for our Georgie Girl! We love her so. Sincerely, Andria

Wonderful Experience & Beautiful Dogs

My husband and I found the Stampers through puppy find & since we live not far from their farm we desided to go look at their dogs, and we are so glad we did! We instantly feel in love with a 10 week old male black & white we named Tommy. The dogs had the ideal enviroment on the farm and it was clear the love and devotion that the Stamper's family had to their dogs, from their ten week old pups to the oldest and most loyal of their canine family. Mrs. Stamper was extreamly profesional but most importantly I believe she was hospitable, inviting us into her home and introducing us to all of her beautiful dogs. She was so kind and if we ever deside that little Tommy should need a playmate we know there is only one woman we need to see! Thanks again! *The Luzius Family* February 26, 2008

It was love at first sight!

We purchased our puppy Ace a few weeks ago and we absolutely love him! He is so smart and eager to learn. We are really excited about having him in our lives. J Janelle was wonderful to work with and so very helpful. It was nice to deal with someone so knowledgeable and passionate about the breed. Thanks again! Brianna, February 25, 2008

I Love My Bella!

I just bought a puppy from the Stampers and I have never been happier! When i finaly talked my parents into letting me get a puppy, they told me to find the right one. Well I most definatly did. The Stampers we're so nice and helpful I dont know how I would have done it with out them! When I went out to pick up my little bundle of joy, I saw all of there beautiful animals. You can really tell that they are all taken care of very well and they are all very very loved! I am very happy with my little Bella! Thank you again for everything! Judy, January 29, 2008

Hi Janelle, I am sending you this to let you know what Bryce has learned in class so far as he is so smart. Well he has learned the basics like sit, stay, come, leave it, drop it, bring it, watch me, and puppy push ups. Puppy push ups are a sit, down, sit, down one right after another with praise and or treat coming after the second down. All of these commands are done individually as well as in combination with one another. He has pretty well mastered all of these for the most part. Others that we are working with him on are roll over ( he can do this one but not consistant yet), placing a treat on his nose and having him balance it and wait for the release word to eat the treat (Just started this one). He loves to go for a ride or walk to the park. He is doing so well. He as of last week has figured out how to open the latch on his crate. He has only done this twice so far while we are sleeping, usually about 4:00 a.m. All I have to say about that is very, very intelligent, for the only time he is in the crate is when we are sleeping or gone for work. We have not came home with him out of the crate, yet. Well, I thought you would be interested in knowing just how much he has learned so far. I will keep you updated from time to time. He has one class left before starting the intermediate class. Thanks. Sincerely, Steve

The best and smartest puppies of the day

. I bought one of the stampers pups for two reasons the first is they will not ship them and they show they care about the parents and pups. The pup i bought is named brounoe and i sware we house broke him in two days. NO food or collar training just verbal enceragement. Brounoe is now 11 weeks old and all ready he knows sit and stay. He is well on his way to being a cattle dog. The stampers are not interest in just making money their interest is giving good dogs to good people. So if you want a wouderful puppy and dog buy a stamper Border collie. Dogs not ment for small cramped aparments or town houses. Must have room to run 2 or more acers. PS thanks agin stampers... matt, December 12, 2006 [

Our new puppy

Janelle is an excellent person to deal with. Her pups are very healthy and happy and beautiful. I had to wait a few weeks for our new puppy and Janelle emailed me and kept me informed how she was doing and sent me extra picture. She made sure she was availible when it was good for us to pick up the puppy. This is the 1st time I have bought a puppy off of this site,or the internet for that matter, but I would not hesitate to do it again because I had such a positive experience with the Stamper Border Collies! Thank you again Janelle Jacqueline D, November 20, 2006
